Where does our true citizenship lay if we trust Christ?

This might be a tricky subject for us to discuss!  How do we separate our citizenship in Heaven, with our citizenship here on earth; and who should take precedence?

How do we fully follow the Gospel message if we are also trying to follow the dictates of the Country we belong too?  Where do we draw the line, and how do we determine what “rights” I truly have.

In this discussion, as a believer in Christ, the viewpoint is simplistic if we really reach down to the very core of it.  To whom shall we first put honor, glory and praise too?

This however, does NOT give us license then to assume that we are being persecuted anytime the world and Eternity intersect.  We need to be careful not to cheapen the Gospel by forgetting that people matter more than the rights I believe I am owed.  For if rights are the real object of desire that Christ gave us to follow, then we can be sure He would never have given us a way home.  For His right, was certainly not to be mocked, beaten, offended, and killed.  His right, was to the very universe of His design, and we would make not the least dent in the epic vastness of the cosmos.

We as believers, need to be careful not to demand something, that we are so glad God certainly did not!
